Emily Burrus, a first-generation college senior, is set to graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Aerospace Engineering Program with a Minor in Space Studies. Originating from Long Island, New York, Emily has a deep love for exploration, often immersing herself in outdoor adventures with friends and family. She is enthusiastic about the design and testing of sustainable, innovative solutions that drive the progress of human space exploration. Additionally, she is deeply interested in continuing discussions around community and policy in space. Passionate about empowering others to achieve their dreams, she has devoted her time and energy to many mentorship and support initiatives on campus that promote various opportunities for students to grow and excel. Emily is dedicated to continuing to diversify the aerospace industry, and has been recognized as a 2023 Patti Grace Smith Fellow, a Commercial Spaceflight Federation PGS Scholar, and Inaugural National Space Intern.
