Video: Get to know the TESSERAE Space Habitat Pavilion

Take a video tour of Aurelia’s full-scale future space station module.

Aurelia Institute created the TESSERAE Space Habitat Pavilion as a full-scale, interactive exhibit to showcase our vision for a future space habitat built using TESSERAE self-assembling technology. The Pavilion is an Earth-bound mock-up of how such a future space station might look, feel, and function.

The interior of the TESSERAE Pavilion includes some unique demonstration tiles and installations that reflect cutting-edge, real space habitat elements under development at Aurelia Institute, all designed to work within the design constraints and design affordances specific to zero gravity. This includes the kitchen panel, with our Green Vault aeroponics tile, storage tiles, Fermentation Station, and H0tP0t; our algae stained-glass window; and sea anemone-inspired inflatables and hand-knotted nets for navigation and rest.

The Pavilion allows people come in and see and interact with the interior, to imagine themselves in space in this totally new environment.
